Dazzle Me Parties and Kingsmen Media Group treated a special group of teenage girls in Atlanta to a day of pampering. Girls from the Laporshe Smith Counseling Group were surprised with manicures and pedicures along with makeovers. Located in downtown Atlanta, Dazzle Me Parties is the premiere resource for parents looking to pamper their princesses and a group of friends to a day of beauty and feminine indulgence.
“Our mission is to provide access to the higher quality community-based services and support available to meet the behavioral and mental needs of children and adolescents,” says Laporshe Smith. Smith started a Girl Talk chapter (Girl Talk East Point) where their internal mission is to help young girls build self-esteem, leadership and to introduce them to the value of community service. “Our girls meet weekly to discuss and address their issues so they gain a better understanding of themselves and their peers. We teach them they aren’t alone in the issues they face and that compassion and kindness can be the foundation for better relationships with family and friends.”
Smith says the girls ages 12-14 yrs. love volunteering and are required to do one good deed for someone else per week. Eventually it becomes a part of who they are.
