Nicole Jennings is the wife of NFL star Greg Jennings of the Miami Dolphins, but that doesn’t completely define who she is as a person. She’s also a mother, entrepreneur, philanthropist and owner of One Posh Closet (OPC), a luxury resale boutique. She has chosen to make her stamp on the world by using OPC for empowerment. She encourages women to love themselves from within and to find inner happiness, so they can be better mothers, wives, sisters and friends.

Rolling out caught up with Jennings after The Posh Shopping Soirée,  a high-end shopping event held in San Francisco during Super Bowl 50 weekend. A portion of the event’s proceeds were donated to the National Psoriasis Foundation.

Tell us about One Posh Closet. What was the inspiration behind it?

One Posh Closet is a luxury resale boutique that features new and gently worn designer items, contributed by women associated with professional sports. My business is the place where sports, fashion and philanthropy meet, with a portion of proceeds from sales going to a “Charity of the Month” making a positive difference in the local community. It was started 3 years ago after I had my fourth child and looked in the mirror and did not like what I saw. I felt like I had lost the true essence of who I was and was just being what everyone else needed me to be. That feeling was the inspiration behind OPC.

You held a “New Year, New You” contest during Super Bowl 50. One lucky fan won a complete makeover and two tickets to the Super Bowl. What was the outcome of that contest?

Our New Year, New You contest was a huge success. Our contest winner was a deserving mother and wife. She and her husband have a commuter marriage. It was our pleasure to give her a glam squad makeover and the opportunity to attend a historical Super Bowl game.

Now, let’s get into a little bit about yourself and your own personal style. Describe your style and creativity.

To me, style and creativity are subjective and only authentic when you own them as a piece of your identity. My creative voice can be seen and heard in the things that I wear and the way that I wear them. If I am feeling sleek and sophisticated my attire will suggest just that. If I am feeling like a biker chick, I will throw on my studded Jimmy Choos and leather jacket to make that statement.
