The pair shocked the world when they revealed that they were a couple earlier this year amid a long-standing feud between Chyna and the Kardashian family, mainly Rob’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner. But despite the family drama, the two have enjoyed a whirlwind romance that resulted in an even more shocking engagement announcement earlier this month. Now, the pair are set to tie the knot sometime in the near future and reports are claiming that they could earn some major money if they let cameras film the festivities.
According to media reports, several major TV producers are interested in offering some lucrative deals with Chyna and Rob to have an “episodic docusoap” in which the couple would chronicle the days leading up to their high-profile wedding. The reports say that some producers are even willing to offer the couple anywhere between $150K-$200K each per episode. They’d even give the pair $500K each for the finale episode.
To sweeten up the deal and fatten up the couple’s pockets, reports are claiming that vendors who are looking to cater the wedding are willing to offer up some major cash just to have their names associated with the famous couple.
However, there’s one big monkey wrench in the way of these lucrative deals. Kris Jenner has already set up a blanket deal with E! that the network will have first dibs on covering any Kardashian related shows or events.
If Chyna and Rob wanted to have their own docusoap, they’d have to get Jenner’s approval to do it on E!, but sources claim that she’s not a fan of Rob’s relationship with Chyna, so the couple’s only other alternative is to go on their own and strike up another TV deal by themselves.
Sources say that Chyna and Rob are weighing their options, but since Kim Kardashian once reportedly made $17 million from airing her wedding to Kris Humphries, we’re sure Chyna and Rob are going to give these deals some serious thought.
