Things between reality stars Althea Eaton and Benzino have been rocky for well over a year now and their dysfunctional relationship has even played out on reality shows like “Marriage Boot Camp” and “The Next: 15.” But things between the estranged couple got extremely bad recently when their troubles landed Eaton in jail. But now Eaton is finally a free woman.
According to media reports, the drama all started last month when Eaton filed a petition for temporary Protective Order against Benzino. Eaton claimed that she was filing the restraining order because, as she claims, Benzino was violent toward her and hostile toward their family between September 2015 and May 31, 2016.
In the documents, Eaton claimed that Benzino has physically hurt her, has held her against her will, stalked her and been aggressive and violent in the presence of her children. She even claims that Benzino threatened to take away their newborn son, Zino, and that on one occasion he took their son overnight after an argument and she was forced to call the police to get her son back.
On July 19 the couple appeared in court for a hearing and the judge granted Eaton a 12-month restraining order against Benzino, requiring him to stay 500 yards away from her. The order also granted Eaton temporary custody of their son.
However, things went south during the court hearing because she confronted Benzino in spite of the judge’s orders not to communicate with him. Eaton was immediately arrested and ordered to serve 10 days in jail for civil contempt.
Well, according to new media reports, Eaton was finally released from jail on Friday and looked to be doing well enough as she walked out of the facility in heels.
Well, this is still one of the messiest reality TV relationship dramas that we’ve ever seen and we hope these two finally make peace with each other, if only for the sake of their son.
