Birthdays are supposed to be a happy and peaceful occasion and a time for people to “turn up” and have a good time. But reality TV star and rapper Soulja Boy‘s latest birthday was anything but peaceful because reports have revealed that his birthday party was interrupted by a violent shooting.

According to media reports, Soulja Boy turned 26 on July 28 and he was celebrating the big day in a recording studio with some of his friends, which included Jamaican singer Sean Kingston.

According to the police report, all was going well at the studio party until one of Soulja’s friends stepped outside for a moment. That’s when a man in a mask apparently pulled up in a car and attempted to rob the victim.

However, the victim decided to fight back and a struggled ensued between him and the robber. The robber pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the arm and then hopped back in the car and fled the scene. Police were quickly called to the scene of the crime but by the time they arrived, Soulja Boy had already left the studio. Sources say that Kingston had already left the studio before the shooting happened.

The reports claim that the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects have been apprehended in relation to the shooting. However, some believe that the robber might have been drawn to the studio that night because Soulja Boy was posting videos of himself celebrating in the studio with stacks of money around.

Well, we hope the police find and arrest the suspect and that he pays for his crimes. However, if the robber did come to the studio because Soulja Boy was flaunting his money, we hope he and many others learn that flaunting your valuables to the world also means that criminals can see what you have and exactly where you have it.
