For the second year, PXP Fest presented by Jack Daniels has invaded Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday, August 13 with some of the hottest international acts performing the best of multi-cultural music from reggaeton to afrobeat. The ultimate passport experience was created by global DJ, promoter and entrepreneur DJ Fully Focus, who joined forces with Akon and Chaka Zulu (DTP) to grow the PXP brand and branch out to different markets on a multi-city campaign expanding to New York and Los Angeles, with plans to eventually migrate all over the country.
“I love this festival. This is the kind of festival the whole world needs to see. The music here brings people from all walks of life. I am happy to be a part and can’t wait to see what is in-store for the future,” says Akon.
PXP Fest aims to unite music lovers from diverse backgrounds in a massive way. The one-day extravaganza offers attendees an amazing opportunity to make a positive impact for those less fortunate through their participation in the event. For every ticket sold, a portion of the proceeds will contribute to Akon Lighting Africa, a solar power initiative serving as a hub to bring electricity to 25 countries this year.
Tons of notable faces in addition to the PXP fanatics came out to show support for the Konvict movement like Jacob York, Ferrari Simmons, Ray Daniels, and Amber Grimes. Usher even turned up for a surprise performance, icing the cake on PXP’s epic line-up.
This year performers included Akon, Shaggy, Rich Homie, Quan, R. City, Olatunji, Davido, Don Jazzy, Revolution Sound, Mix Master David, DJ Kash, Babey Drew, Tiwa Savage, Wurld, Dreggae, Sina Rambo, 2C, Imani Ray, Karlon, Nick & Alex, Shane Talon, E-Cool, Slim, Smashkash, Shinski and many more. Don’t miss out next year. Full Focus plans to bring PXP Fest back, only bigger and better.
