Although the rumor mill has been buzzing with claims that “Dancing With the Stars” has their sights on individual all-around gymnast Simone Biles as one of its season 23 contestants, the Olympic champion has revealed that her busy schedule could prevent her from joining the popular ABC reality competition.

“I would love to do ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ but so far we have a three month tour after this Olympics,” Simone recently told E! News’ Zuri Hall at the P&G Family Home in Rio. “I’m not sure if I’ll have time.”

Still, the 19-year-old powerhouse athlete, standing at 4-foot-9 and weighing in at 104 pounds, is hoping to eventually compete on “DWTS” — once her schedule permits. “I would really love to do it in the spring if that’s possible,” Biles said, of her possibly joining season 24’s cast, should she miss her mark for the fall segment.

Earlier this week, a source confirmed to E! News that producers were eyeing the teen athlete, who’s racked up four gold medals, including women’s vault and floor exercise, as well as bronze medal, in the Rio Olympics, as one of the 12 contestants that will compete during the upcoming season. Along with Biles, the dance competition show is rumored to have their sights set on “The Bachelorette’s” JoJo Fletcher and former star of “The Fosters” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” Jake T. Austin.

Should Biles join the show for its 24th season in the spring, she’ll be following suit with her gold medalist teammate Aly Raisman, who competed on season 16. Meanwhile, Shawn Johnson won season eight (and came in second on the All-Stars season), and Nastia Liukin took part in season 20.

For details on the official cast, mark your calendars, as ABC is set to announce their season 23 front-runners on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Aug. 30, with the season premiere airing on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. In the meantime, what are your thoughts on the star gymnast joining the dance show?
