Earlier today, rolling out reported “Bishop Eddie Long was suffering a possible health crisis.” According to multiple media sites, Bishop Long was been hospitalized due to complications from an “unspecified gastro-intestinal cancer that has already progressed to stage 4.”
Long was recently in the news regarding a picture that showed a dramatic weight loss.
Bishop Long has now issued the following statement to rolling out:
STATEMENT FROM BISHOP EDDIE L. LONG:
“I am recovering from a health challenge that I trust God to deliver me from. It is unrelated to the eating for life diet consisting of mostly raw vegetables that I am continuing , as part of a holistic approach to good health. At this time, my family and I are requesting that you respect our privacy. I truly appreciate your prayers and support for me, my loved ones and my beloved New Birth Church Family.
According to Long’s executive assistant, Elder April McLaughlin:
“Bishop Long is not in the hospital. Thank you for your prayers and there will be no other comments.”
