The City Winery in Chicago was filled with R&B lovers ready to see ’90’s legend Jon B run through his hits. Fresh off an “Unsung” episode, Jon was primed to deliver a great show and that’s what he did. There is a void in music right now and the string of R&B artists who have been resurfacing as of late is helping to fill this void. Jon B’s performance elicited feelings of love and goodness as his fans grooved, swayed and sang along. One moment during the show stood out. Jon mentioned that there is one song from New Edition that made him realize that he wanted to be a singer. He started performing “Can You Stand the Rain” Chicago sang along and filled the venue with warm fuzzies.

We spoke with Jon between sets. “I want people to get in touch with a sense of what it feels like to be in a relationship again. I want them to feel the romance of a relationship,” he said. “I want people to understand how important it is to create that romance in your life. I want to bring that lovely feeling.”
He did just that the other night and from the response of the fans, they want more.
