“The Intuition Consulting Firm’s focus is to be the go-to for startups and small to mid-size businesses for revenue growth. Many times these businesses are the ones who need assistance and who constantly fail due to limited resources and access to information,” says Roy Broderick, founder and CEO. “Therefore, our mission is a movement to help ensure generational wealth and legacies are created with these companies.”
Here’s more from our interview.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
When I was working on the corporate and agency side I made a lot of connections and worked on some pretty cool projects, but I never felt like I was making an impact on the world. So after taking a job that I could do in my sleep, which gave me time to reflect and think through my own legacy, I listened to my inner voice and felt it was time for me to do something for my community and my people.
What type of person or company is an ideal client?
Any startup, small or midsize business that’s ready to take their business to the next level is an ideal client.
When did you realize that you had what it took to make it on your own?
I came into the world weighing 1 pound and 9 ounces, 3 1/2 months premature, so I’ve been told all my life I was here for a greater purpose. Therefore, I’ve always felt there was an anointing on my life and that would be successful with everything I touch. Entrepreneurship was just the next chapter for me to give back and help other build something great.
What has been your biggest obstacle you had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle I’ve had to overcome has been like any other entrepreneur who was starting a business themselves. While I was confident I would succeed, there’s is always self-doubt that happens but through prayer and simple reminders, I took the leap of faith.
What is your most proud or successful moment?
My most successful moments are when our clients at Intuition have “lightbulb moments.” These moments are when they are presented with their strategy, implement it and then make their goal. Of course, we get immediate calls saying it worked and we smile, and pat ourselves on the back and high-five each other.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, Intuition might have another office in another city like New York or Los Angeles. As for me, my goal is to be an angel investor to help others start their business and create their legacy. Money shouldn’t be what stands in the way of making your dream a reality; so it’s my hope to always be able to pay it forward and bless someone after hearing their story.
