“Jane the Virgin”
Well into its fourth season, this Golden Globe Award-winning series chronicles the life of Jane Villanueva (played by Gina Rodriguez), a young, devout Catholic woman who discovers she’s been accidentally artificially inseminated — with her boss’ sperm. While Jane is apprehensive of carrying the child to full term — her mother Xiomara had her as a teenager — she decides to roll with the punches. Throw in a love triangle between her fiancé, a cop and her baby daddy, Rafael Solano, the many shenanigans involving her Spanish novella acting father, Rogelio, and a drug lord, and the storyline is oozing with twists, turns, and big laughs.
