High school cheerleaders or strippers: Is this routine appropriate? (video)

Source: YouTube screenshot

Video of a group of  Miami area high school cheerleaders has gone viral because the underage girls did their sexy routine in lingerie, boots, fishnet stockings and garter belts. In addition, the girls were all carrying a travel bag, looking more like strippers in training than cheerleaders. The name of the high school involved is not known at this time nor is the reason parents would allow their daughters to participate in such a salacious routine. The video has been viewed more than 10K times and can be seen below.

I hope their as focused on their education as they are about making a statement. When you live in a society that promotes sex as heavy as we do in America it was only a matter of time before the youth, especially young women, started to see sexuality as a tool for financial gain or worst, being an adult.

      It is cheerleading omg

Why would you do this? Why did the school officials feel this is ok? Young Black girls stop degrading yourselves. They see this crap on tv and as entertainers they need to put clothes on as well. you do not always have to be naked to sell a record or get high ratings. This society has belittled, degraded and shamed Black women for a long time. This needs to stop

It’s a routine but when white girls do it, it’s classic. Shut up

no its sleazy no matter who does it. its even worse for white gals because they dont have our curves. these days its too many predators out there just waiting to see this and snatch a young girl. unfortunately this is sensationalized and is everywhere. we dont wear clothes. sex sells, but when they get taken, raped or beaten then we crying.

No different than what you see at an HBCU! Funny how anybody has the nerve to say anything when our suppose to be leading black institutions have been riding the proverbial line for years.

College students are typically over 18 and considered adults. These are 14-17 yo kids

So, that makes it better? They have set the example for years then get upset when the high schoolers immulate them.
Spare us all the selective outrage!

First when writing a story, the facts must be right. These are not cheerleaders. This is the high schools dance team, which carries bags because every dance team has bags, that includes a change of clothes or props for the stands and/or their halftime performance. With you attending an HBCU yourself and even any high school, you should know the difference between cheerleaders and majorettes. Did you even bother to research the theme for that evening, to maybe have a little more knowledge about that evening and why they may have been dressed like that??? Regardless, this is nothing new when it comes to majorettes. Nothing different than a jazz number with a leotard and accessories to go with the theme of the performance.

Yes I agree. I don’t see anything wrong with the routines. Most of the way we move is naturally in us, can’t help all the rhythm that we promote when we move

as a male, I see nothing wrong with it either — fap fap fap fap — hopefully next season they will wear g-strings along with the net stockings

and strippers don’t like being called “strippers” they call themselves “dancers” — if it looks like a stripper and acts like a stripper … it’s a stripper

      Way to sexualize innocence

  6. La-Chanda Sexclibra Smith on September 29, 2017 at 2:18 pm

Now we’re sexualizing a sport job that is very sexual in nature. Splits have been done forever, maybe the difference is who’s doing the splitting. People understand that woc naturally have more body than white women so…

I place the blame right at their mothers
