Travelers at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta witnessed a graphic scene. A drunken man near Terrapin Taphouse bar on Concourse D was causing a disturbance. According to airport spokesperson Reese McCranie, the incident apparently began with an argument between two passengers. One became “visibly irate and belligerent.”
He was confronted by airport police and became increasingly agitated. The man then jumped headfirst from the balcony, plunging to the floor in a bloody and broken heap. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
