Happy sweet sixteen to one of the most anticipated attractions to sinks it’s claws in Georgia red clay. Great Wolf Lodge Georgia opened its doors on May 31.
The new 457-suite family resort – located in LaGrange, Georgia – offers eight unique eateries that range from the farm-to-fork including their signature restaurant Barnwood and the Timbers Taco Bus, a family-friendly taco bus. And for eaters with exacting standards, there’s dining offering nut-free, gluten-free and vegan menu options. The list continues. There are groups and meeting space and a 93,000 square foot indoor water park, nearly the size of two football fields. A highlight for adults 21 and over, ahh, it’s Northwoods Springs, an oasis offering a heated jacuzzi experience. The 40,000-square-foot Great Wolf Adventure Park features family style bowling at Ten Paw Alley; an arcade; ad Rustic Ridge Rock Wall, a 21 ft. climbing challenge for every age and skill level.
The fun has only just begun. “Coming up this summer, we have a Fourth of July and a Labor Day Weekend special that features music on the patio,” says Keith Furnas, the resort’s general manager. “Our Halloween event lasts throughout the month of October where we do a lot of decorating.”
For hibernation, there are eight suite styles to choose from. Each suite comes standard with refrigerator, coffee maker and hair dryer.
Start making your reservations today. In October, Howl-O-Ween, the family-friendly Halloween celebration will also feature “Spooktacular Story Time,” a “Daily Costume Parade” and “Monster Bash Dance Party.”
To close the year, Great Wolf Lodge Georgia will transform to Snowland in December. The resort is transformed into a winter wonderland complete with daily snow showers in the Grand Lobby; Special appearances by Santa Claus; Dine in the life-size Gingerbread House and North Pole University.
