T.I. has always been a fashion influencer.

Whether he’s rocking his classic fitted hat cocked to the side or a tailored suit, T.I. knows how to balance his street style with high fashion.

The Atlanta icon entered the fashion world early in his career, launching his own clothing line, A.K.O.O. (“A King Of Oneself”).  T.I.’s A.K.O.O. brand has been creating quality streetwear for men while enforcing its mantra of being a king in all you do for a decade now. In February, A.K.O.O. collaborated with Ewing Athletics for its first sneaker, The Sport Lite Shoe.

We caught up with T.I. when he stopped by rolling out and asked him about his signature style. Much of his collection personally designed by Hideoki Bespoke, a high-end designer that focuses on craftsmanship and exquisitely designed garments. He entered the building with that typical Tip swag, sporting a lilac suit jacket, crisp white pants and clean white sneakers. Being a designer and shoe connoisseur, we had to ask about his extensive footwear collection.

Surprisingly, T.I. admits that his favorite shoe in his collection isn’t a sneaker at all, but rather his fuzzy Gucci slippers. “They are comfortable and stylish at the same time. They feel good, and they look good,” he says.

T.I. describes his style as effortless and diverse. He admits that he can’t decide on one piece in his closet that he can’t live without but shares that his favorite outerwear accessory is his Greg Lauren trench coat. “But it’s summertime,” he adds, “so I’ll have to live without it.”

Every man would do well to take a page from T.I.’s fashion playbook on how to execute different styles while keeping it classic and fresh when they step out.
