Hopeless romantic LisaRaye McCoy is going to give marriage another try.
The Players Ball actress, 51, was proposed to by the man she chose on the hit ABC show “The Proposal,” Anthony Bryant. He filmed his proposal to McCoy on Instagram Live for her fans to see.
LisaRaye, as she is simply known in urban circles, and Bryant met when LisaRaye jumped at the chance to be on ABC’s “The Proposal,” with her episode airing on Monday night. Ten contestants tried to do whatever they could to be the one who would ask for her hand in marriage. At the end of the episode, after it came down to two contestants, LisaRaye chose Bryant.
Of course, the episode was filmed a while back, and LisaRaye and Bryant’s burgeoning relationship has apparently blossomed since then. On Monday night, following the official airing of the show, Bryant officially proposed to LisaRaye, as you can see below, according to the blog 9 Mag:
LisaRaye jumped at the chance to be on “The Proposal” the moment she learned about the show, as she wanted another opportunity to walk down the aisle.
The former star of “Single Ladies” and “All of Us” has been married twice before. The half-sister to rapid-rhyming rapper Da Brat was married to former NFL football player Tony Martin from 1992-1994.
And it’s been a decade since LisaRaye McCoy’s storybook marriage with ex-husband Michael Misick, the former chief minster of the Turks and Caicos Islands, imploded in 2008. That high-profile union collapsed quickly under the specter of scandal after the former chief minister was accused of money corruption and was forced to resign from his position. Misick was also accused of fathering a baby during their first year of marriage.
