There’s a new sheriff of luxury in town — and it goes by the name of Genesis G90.

The all-new 2018 Genesis G90 has taken the automotive industry by surprise while making it look easy. Hyundai saw their entry point to the high-line market with the launch of the 2004 Hyundai Genesis. Nearly a decade later, they announced the Genesis as a standalone luxury brand for automotive vehicles.

Within just three years, the G90 has won three major awards in recognition and safety while raising the bar for its competitors. In 2018 alone, the G90 was awarded the AutoPacific Presidents Award, the 2018 Women’s Choice Award, and received an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

Hyundai Motor Company strategically formed their own super team to ensure the G90’s success by bringing in design and brand ambassadors from companies like Lamborghini, Bentley and BMW.

If that doesn’t sell you on this luxury sedan — maybe a mixture of the three at a starting price of $68,350 will.

Not only does this vehicle look fast and luxurious — it actually is for a 3.3L 6-cylinder turbo with 365-hp. If you’re not worried about gas mileage — the G90 also offers a 5.0L V8 that produces a bold 420-hp.

When it comes to style, the G90 sets the standard of luxury across the board. This big-body sedan is 204.9 inches long while maximizing every detail possible. Small designs like the Genesis’ logo projection and self-latching doors make all the difference.

What you may find more impressive is the interior of the vehicle. The G90 comes with a 22-way driver adjustable seat to suit any comfort while listening to a premium 17-speaker Lexicon audio system. Drivers also have the option of changing the sound system from an audience mode to an on-stage mode — just in case you prefer a livelier experience.

If you like to be chauffeured, the back seat may be as entertaining as driving the car. The G90 offers rear climate control, access to the info-entertainment system and the ability to move the front passenger seat if you feel like stretching out.

This first-class sedan offers complimentary valet service, maintenance, and satellite radio for three years or 36,000 miles. In fact, the only thing missing from this vehicle is a dress-code while driving.

It’s hard to find a vehicle with this much detail and amenities for under $75K — and for what it’s worth — I doubt you will. The Genesis G90 marks the beginning of new-age full-sized luxury.
