Giving back never looked so good. Rihanna is using her Fenty Beauty line to contribute to a cause and she’s offering fans an opportunity to do so, as well.
On August 1, 2018, Robyn “Rihanna” Fenty’s namesake cosmetic brand, Fenty Beauty, announced a new partnership with the Clara Lionel Foundation to help fund mission work in education and emergency responsiveness. The Clara Lionel Foundation was established by the singer in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
“Fenty Beauty’s groundbreaking inclusivity and ability to resonate with people around the world makes them an ideal partner for CLF and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” Justine Lucas, CLF’s executive director, said.
Throughout the month of September, Fenty Beauty has committed to donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the limited-edition Diamond Ball-Out Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter to help improve the livelihood of people around the world. The name of the metallic highlighter coincides with the famous fundraiser, the Diamond Ball.
The third annual Diamond Ball brought out Beyoncé and Jay Z, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar and more. The benefit also raised over $5M to support the foundation and its mission. This year, the Diamond Ball will be held on September 13, 2018, in New York. Insecure star Issa Rae is set to host the event and Donald Glover will perform.
The star hopes customers who buy her Fenty Beauty products will feel just as good about looking fabulous as they do about contributing to this cause. If you are not into makeup, you can still contribute to this cause by visiting claralionelfoundation.org.
