Brilliant, yet embattled comedian Katt Williams seemingly has a hair-trigger temper that has gotten him into a multitude of sticky situations with law enforcement agencies across the country. He even bragged recently on the “Frank and Wanda in the Morning” radio show that he has “19 felony charges but no convictions.”
One day, his luck may run out, and it might be in Portland, Oregon.
This is because Williams was arrested, yet again, and he is holed up for assaulting someone, yet again. This time, Williams allegedly laid hands on a limo driver during an argument on Friday evening about transporting his dog … and then fleeing the scene of the reported violence.
Saturday, the easily combustible comedian was arrested by Port of Portland police. He was charged with misdemeanor assault with bail set at $2,500.
According to TMZ, the driver sustained swelling and cuts to the face and was checked at a local hospital. Williams was already gone when police arrived, having made his getaway in another vehicle.
When officers contacted Williams the next morning, they discovered he had an out-of-state warrant. He may be transported back to Atlanta to answer those charges, which are unknown at this point, the entertainment publication reported.
Williams was in Portland to be a part of Nick Cannon’s wildly popular “Wild ‘N Out Live” concert at the Moda Center Friday evening.
According to inside snitches, TMZ reports that Williams never made it to the show. But at a previous edition of Nick Cannon’s “Wild-N-Out” taping in Houston, Williams threatened to slap Kanye West’s mouth sideways, as rolling out reported. Williams inserted himself into the beef between Cannon and West after Ye ordered Cannon to keep his wife Kim Kardashian’s name out of his mouth.
Williams also got into an imbroglio after he destroyed Wanda Smith on the “Frank and Wanda in the Morning” show in Atlanta. During the now viral diatribe, Williams also criticized Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart’s comedic skills.
Afterwards, Williams and Smith’s husband got into an altercation at the Atlanta Comedy Club in suburban Norcross. The husband allegedly brandished a firearm that had Williams scampering for cover in an adjacent supermarket.
