The iHeartRadio Music Awards was broadcast on Thursday night, March 14, 2019. The show featured performances and awards presentations in an array of musical categories. The night was hosted by rapper T-Pain, who just won the popular music competition show “The Masked Singer.”

Alicia Keys performed with her 8-year-old son Egypt, whom she has with husband Swizz Beatz. He joined her to play the piano back-to-back to her songs, including “Raise a Man” and the classic “You Don’t Know My Name.”

As if her little boy’s impressive playing skills weren’t enough to win over the star-studded crowd, Egypt then burst into the famous “floss” dance as his mother continued her performance on her feet.

The “Fallin” hitmaker — who also has 4-year-old son Genesis with her spouse — took home the Innovator Award for her “unparalleled contributions to pop culture and social causes as an artist, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur and activist” at the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The spectacular evening also saw Ariana Grande — who won Female Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year — give her Sweetener album track “Needy” its live debut. However, her intimate performance at the piano was pre-recorded, as she was unable to attend the ceremony due to being in rehearsals for her imminent world tour.

The show saw performances from John Legend, who took to a circular stage in the center of the crowd to sing his latest song “Preach,” and the Backstreet Boys provided a throwback with a rendition of their classic “I Want It That Way.”
