As a Black woman, what do you consider your superpowers to be?
Empowerment, encouragement, discernment, motivation, inspiration and fortitude.
What key skills or qualities make you unique as an African American female leader?
As an African American female trailblazer in the firearm industry, it is important for me to be recognized as a leader who sets a standard of excellence. As I meet with people in the firearms industry, my goal is to discover at least one commonality with the prospective client. Since I have the gift of connecting with people, my commonality inquiry helps to humanize all parties. When people find out that I share a commonality, it breaks the ice and helps to develop the business relationship.
As a successful woman in business, what is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement is at the end of every firearm education class. At the start of every class, I observe fear and insecurity on the faces of the women who take the first step to conquer their fear of firearms. By the end of the final day of class, I observe smiles, high fives, confidence and empowerment. My proudest achievement is seeing my female customers go from fear to being empowered!
