T.I., Chris Brown, Trey Songz headline V-103’s Tycoon Music Festival

Radio station V-103 started the summer off right in Atlanta with the Tycoon Music Festival at Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood on Saturday, June 8. From the amazing lineup to the DJs who took turns spinning records during stage changes, the audience stayed lit.

This was comedy, R&B and hip-hop at its finest. From legends in the game to the newcomers, this festival did not disappoint. The performers included T.I., Trey Songz, Chris Brown, DC Young Fly, OT Genasis, 50 Cent, Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar, DDG and Lil Keed. There were also guest appearances from Big Tigger, Ceaser Emanuel from the reality show “Black Ink Crew” and Nelly.

All the performers kept the crowd on its feet and dancing in the aisles. There were even some young ladies who were in tears when Trey Songz and Chris Brown hit the stage. During his set, T.I. said that this was the same stage where he ended his leprechaun career. He was speaking of his infamous beef with rapper Lil Flip. Chris Brown closed the festival with an electrifying performance.

After Brown’s set, concertgoers began to leave and the stage lights went out. Then a voice began to yell, “play my music.” Lil Duval walked onto the stage and continued to ask for his music to be played. So, everyone started to walk back toward the stage. After he asked several times for his music to be played and there was no music or lights being turned back on, concertgoers left the venue.

Many people could be heard murmuring about what the lineup will be like next year because they were in awe of the performers this year.
