Old-school hip-hop has become a favorite in Minnesota. Treasure Island Resort and Casino has done a great job of bringing old-school hip-hop to the city. The Art of Rap tour made a stop In Minnesota on Saturday, June 15, 2019, to a nearly sold-out crowd.
The musical lineup included 50 Cent, Ice T, Slick Rick, Too Short, EMPD, Das Efx, JJ Fad, Suga Free and Biz Markie. The tour was hosted by Chiefrocker Busy Bee and DJ Kevie Kev Rockwell. These artists rose to fame more than a generation ago but their music continues to make a big impact.
