Longtime “Real Housewives of Atlanta” castmates and BFFs NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey were estranged last season after Leakes felt a sense of betrayal from Bailey.
Fans may recall how hurt and outraged Leakes felt in the winter of 2018 when Bailey invited one of Leakes’ sworn enemies, Kenya Moore, to Bailey’s winery unveiling in Atlanta without notifying Leakes first — and then lied about it. Bailey also reportedly went to Bravo executives to actively campaign to bring the hated Moore back on the show, which may have worked, because she is currently filming, according to OK magazine.
Bailey is fully aware that Leakes and Moore curse the very air that the other one breathes. In the wake of this alleged duplicity, Leakes intimated on social media and on camera that their friendship was irreversibly damaged.

In fact, reports circulated that Leakes no longer wanted to even be filmed in the same room with Bailey.
However, there is a glimmer of hope that their relationship can be reconciled. According to lovebscott.com, Leakes extended a gesture to try to end the cold war between her and Bailey during the opening of her Bailey Wine Bar that brought her to tears.
While Leakes was not in attendance at the wine bar opening, which was attended by the other RHOA cast members, Leakes had an emissary carry a note along with plates of wine-friendly dishes.
The note, as was exclusively reported by LoveBScott.com, reads as follows:
“Never in my wildest dreams did i ever imagine that we would be in this place. I’ve always been a supportive friend towards you and this time won’t be any different. I’m proud of you and cheering for you from afar! I hope you continue to have the courage to run after your dreams! Congratulations on the opening of your new business. I’m sure it will be a success.”
According to LoveBScott, the note reduced Bailey to tears as the Bravo TV cameras filmed her reaction. No word if the letter was read openly as the cameras rolled.
The upcoming season will determine if Bailey and Leakes’ friendship can be repaired, but the reported letter may go a long way towards that goal.
