“Atlanta” was renewed for a fourth season ahead of the season three premiere.

The acclaimed series spearheaded by Emmy-award winner Donald Glover will add a fourth season to it’s run along with the airing of season three. Both seasons will begin production in 2020 and consist of eight episodes each. FX entertainment president Eric Schier made the announcement this week.

Regular cast members Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lakeith Stansfield will reprise their roles when production for both seasons resumes in spring 2020.

Last airing in May 2018, FX cautioned fans of the delayed return date due to cast scheduling conflicts. Glover’s recent appearances include The Lion King, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Guava Island co-starring Rihanna.

With “Atlanta” renewed for a fourth season, the fate of Earn (Glover), Paperboi (Henry), and Darius (Stansfield) will continue to unfold.

Glover’s work on “Atlanta” earned the multi-talented star a best director’s Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Critic’s Choice award. In addition, Katt Williams earned an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
