It has been 10 years since an intoxicated Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV awards and snatched the mic out of Taylor Swift’s hand. Swift, who’d won Best Video of 2009, stood paralyzed from shock as Kanye went on to proclaim that Beyonce’s video should have won.
It looks like Swift’s wounds from that fateful day have left scar tissue that she continues to scratch as she called the controversial rapper “two-faced” in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Swift said she has grown weary of the narrative of these two musical titans interlocked in a pop culture battle royale for the past decade.
“Basically, I got really sick of the dynamic between he and I,” Swift, 29, said of her on-again-off-again friendship with West.
Swift told the magazine she thought the two had reconciled their differences as they exchanged pleasantries and compliments when they sat down for dinner on more than one occasion. But he says Kanye let her down several times since they made up. Click here to continue.
