“[Journaling can be] a nice track record. It’s funny because in one of my old journals when I was nine or ten, I wrote ‘I’m going to be famous one day. I’m going to be on TV!’ and it happened,” the 23-year-old entrepreneur revealed. “It’s a great way to track your growth, your thoughts and maybe bring old dreams back to life.”
Lovette hopes that the conversational tone in Journey to Self will encourage expansion, growth and honesty with one’s self. Ideally, the journal will serve as a personal reference guide and girlfriend that assists the writer with creating a roadmap for her life, while finding herself in the process.
Since launching in July, the demand for pop-up workshops surrounding the journal are springing up all over the country. Additional Journey to Self pop-up workshops are currently in the works, but for now, Lovette is taking it all in stride.
“I am a flexible and free being,” she insists. “I look forward to growing with it and creating more around it and then going from there.”
