Perhaps Eva Marcille dodged a real bullet.
Marcille’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her eldest child, Kevin McCall, has been officially charged with domestic violence and faces up to one year in prison. McCall was originally arrested back in April by the Los Angeles County Sherriffs Department.
According to The Blast, the language used to charge McCall is listed as “Inflict Corporal Injury to Spouse or Cohabitant.”
The media does not know why the singer was arrested and charged with a felony in April 2019, when the incident reportedly went down on Jan. 14, 2019.
As fans may recall, Marcille, 34, gave a teary testimony on the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” accusing McCall, 33, of physically abusing her while she was pregnant with their child, Marley Rae Sterling, who is now 5.
“It took me a lot of time to even be able to get up the courage to talk about it because it’s embarrassing,” said the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star.
“Coming from where I come from and being as astute and courageous as I am, you always feel like, ‘it can never be me’.”
Even after delivering their miracle into the world, Marcille said the beatings persisted.
“[The abuse] didn’t start for me until I was pregnant with Marley. And then about a month after having Marley, it didn’t stop; it got worse,” Marcille said.
Marcille soon left the relationship and is now married to Atlanta attorney Michael Sterling. The two will soon celebrate their second child together.
