Model and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Eva Marcille gave a tearful testimony on the “The Rickey Smiley Show” about the abuse she allegedly endured at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Kevin McCall, who was arrested this week for an unrelated case of domestic abuse.

Marcille, who now lives in Atlanta and is married to businessman Michael Sterling, previously dated musician McCall, who still lives in Los Angeles.

“It took me a lot of time to even be able to get up the courage to talk about it because it’s embarrassing,” Marcille said on the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show.”

“Coming from where I come from and being as astute and courageous as I am, you always feel like, ‘it can never be me,’” Marcille told Smiley’s audience.

Marcille has broached the subject of McCall’s violent behavior on a recent episode of RHOA, with some cast members and fans openly wondering if her claims were exaggerated or embellished.

The events of this past week lend credence to Marcille’s claims, as McCall was arrested and booked for one felony count of injuring a spouse or cohabitant, People magazine reports.

“[The abuse] didn’t start for me until I was pregnant with Marley. And then about a month after having Marley, it didn’t stop; it got worse,” Marcille said as her voice began to crack.

The final straw happened when McCall allegedly struck Marcille while her eldest child was in her arms as an infant. Marcille had a daughter Marley Rae with the rapper. She is now 5 years old.

“Marley was actually in my arms once. And I was like, ‘I can’t do this no more.’”

Kevin McCall responded to Marcille’s claims and told People he’s “hurt that people believe lies so easily.”

McCall is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.
