One of the most attractive features Nissan has incorporated in its current lineup of cars is technology. Today, consumers are looking for full integration with user-friendly technology not only at work but also in their daily lives, which includes everything from smartphones and smart houses. So why not smart cars?

Nissan continues to bring style and Intelligent Mobility technologies with the 2020 fleet of cars. The Nissan 2.0 Platinum VC-Turbo is one example of that commitment. Among the enhancements, Nissan has made available their Safety Shield 360 technology, which is now available across the entire 2020 Altima lineup.

Safety Shield 360 is a suite of six safety and driver-assist technologies that provide front, side and rear safety monitoring and intervention technologies. It also includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist.

An exciting new tech safety plus is the Traffic Sign Recognition feature, standard on SL and Platinum grades. TSR provides drivers with the most recent speed limit information as detected by a camera unit located on the windshield in front of the inside rearview mirror.

In addition, Intelligent Around View Monitor — which utilizes four small superwide-angle cameras mounted on the front, side and rear of the vehicle to provide a “bird’s eye” virtual 360-degree view of objects around the vehicle — is standard on the Altima Platinum grade.
