It’s very flattering when people say, “I want to do what you do,” but that’s impossible. What is possible, is understanding what your story is, understanding where your value proposition is, and charting your own path. Entrepreneurship is one of those things. You need to be tenacious. You need to be courageous because it’s not easy. You need to have a plan, meaning you need to know how to take care of your family, if you have one, while you start up.
What can people expect from you in the future?
The spring cohort members expressed great interest in coaching when they discovered that I had been to the CaPP Institute, an International Coach Federation and accredited institution that trains legitimate coaches. I’ve blended their services now to include coaching, too. Because the demand for coaching was so great, I launched the fall cohort under the NSC Coaching brand. I’ve more than doubled that group and added several individual clients, so I’m very excited.
In 2020, we are looking to launch live events and one of those being a business boot camp, and we’re going to start that in Dallas. But we’re looking at four markets — Dallas, LA, Chicago and New York — and that will culminate with a flyaway retreat.
