He may be of African descent, but Akon’s love of Latin culture is what inspired this album — one he told Billboard he’s wanted to do since he stormed onto the industry scene with his breakout hit, “Locked Up.” El Negreeto features none other than Pitbull, among other Latin artists, over nine tracks produced by Maffio. The songs were written in Spanish by Akon with the help of Camilo, Erika Ender, Mau & Ricky, Jon Leone and Iamchino.

Robert Glasper — F— Yo Feelings

Among the awe-inspiring artists to contribute are Yasiin Bey, Herbie Hancock, YBN Cordae, Terrace Martin, Bilal, Buddy, Denzel Curry, SiR, Rapsody and more.
