Your makeup was flawless. Who was your makeup artist?
My makeup was done by Kelvin Myers, a well-known makeup artist here in Atlanta.
Who is Von Scales, and how did you two meet?
He’s from St. Louis, and he used to play basketball back in the day. He now owns bio-health and wellness centers. We met through a mutual friend named Jamie Dukes, and he used to play for the Atlanta Falcons.
Now that you’re married, how would you describe your relationship in a few words?
It’s easy love.
What’s one thing about him that makes your heart smile?
Oh my God. He’s an amazing parent. When I saw how he interacted with his family, I was like, OK, he’s into family like we are. They’re important to him just like it is with [my family]. The way he interacts with his sons is the same way he interacts with my sons, so our family is truly blended. They’re our children.
In terms of meeting him, dating and getting married, was it everything you could’ve asked for?
It was definitely everything I asked for and more!
