L3 Agency CEO Larvetta Loftin offers advice to budding entrepreneurs

Describe the skills that will be essential to future entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators.

I believe you should have the following:

You have to be willing to quickly pivot when something is not working and ask for feedback to grow.

Empathy allows you to see things differently and to be more understanding [toward] others and connect more with people

Being a jack-of-all-trades is a master of none. Focus on mastering the one thing that you are great at and bring on partners who are better at the other things.

[Embrace] adventure because all work and no play never works mentally or personally. Allowing yourself to do something fun brings vibrancy and innovation.

Describe innovative methods you apply to your business and life.

Listening more intentionally and taking time to talk less and listen more. My silence is loud.

[Creating] the table [I] want to see [and] using my influence to open new territories.

Taking a pause to grieve a client loss, loved one, low sales, new victories, etc.

Implementing healthy boundaries, having set hours for your business and choosing days [or] time to spend with people you love while being social on your own terms.

Describe how you set goals and evaluate your success.

I believe in setting one colossal goal for my business and one colossal goal for my life at the start of every year. Then I break them down into micro-goals weekly. I value my goals like the special ingredients to making that special dish.
