Beauty industry CEO Germaine Bolds-Leftridge says core principles drive success

What are some business principles you adhere to in order to remain successful?

I think in order to stay successful in business integrity is everything. I’m not the smartest, but I can outwork most people. I still have the zest and love for this business, and I’ve been in it for over three decades. I still get up at 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. because my brain is just working overtime thinking of new ideas. The new millennial entrepreneurs excite me because they show what you can really do when you think you can.

Do you have an international strategy? What has been your approach and taking your brand and products global?

I think the brand that I built with the Ubiquitous Women’s Expo really fits that global appeal. Ubiquitous means to exist everywhere at the same time, which means that it does have that global appeal. We’re trying to keep building on our footprint here in the DMV. We do have some people that are very interested in us going to Africa with the Ubiquitous Women’s Expo.
