What was the creative direction for the video for “Happy Birthday”?
I wanted to do a club format. Certain cities don’t have the privilege that to be open to where you can go out to the club. I just rented out a restaurant and bar that I frequently go to, Blue Buckhead. I just wanted it to be fun [because] this is a fun party song. I want everybody to have a good time. A lot of people in this video are influencers. They all have like a million followers on social media.
What can your fans expect next?
I still have that big record [coming]. Jeezy is on that song, and I’m waiting on another verse from a super big rapper. I got two super big rappers, so that’s gonna be the record. Jeezy gave me a 2006 verse, and I really enjoyed it.
