Was it always your plan to move into action movies when you first began acting?
Ever since growing up being able to see Will Smith play Hancock, or Chadwick Boseman or Michael B. Jordan play guys where they’re saving the day and getting the girl — that’s always been something I think any young guy in the industry loves to play.
At this point in your career, what inspires you?
Just acting gets me excited. Being able to go in front of the camera and play a character gets me excited. I’m still in that headspace where I love [to] work.
If you weren’t acting, would you still be involved in the entertainment business? Or do you think you would have gone down a different path?
Entertainment is what I love, and I believe that’s what I was put on Earth to do. So if I wasn’t acting, it could be directing or fashion. It could be many things, and those are things that I still want to do. I used to model when I was younger, and I want to get back into that.
What are you working on now that you can divulge?
“This Is Us” is coming back on Nov. 15, and I have a movie coming out called Fallout. It touches on some topics that are going on right now, like school shootings.
“Secret Society of Second-Born Royals” is playing now on Disney+.
