If you could thank any Black woman history maker for her contributions to society, who would it be?
I would thank Sojourner Truth for continually exhibiting bravery in the challenges of her era. She personifies the spirit of no justice no peace, and she unapologetically stood up for her rights, as necessary.
Why is it important for experienced Black women to reach back and help younger women of color?
We have to share our life lessons and translate those into words of wisdom so that the younger women learn from our mistakes and are open to change so that they can seize their opportunities and not be afraid of all of their greatness.
What habits do you implement into your daily routine to maintain your success and peace of mind?
I meditate every morning. I look for solutions [and] resolutions every day in any problem that is presented to me. I stay thankful. Those are the keys to my sanity.
As a successful woman in business, what is your greatest or proudest achievement?
I am proud to be able to employ people who as a result of my career opportunities can take care of their families.
