According to his LinkedIn profile, Goodman has been a Capitol cop since 2011 and lives in the District of Columbia metro area with his daughter.
Goodman is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served part of his time at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, home of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
People are so impressed by and appreciative of Goodman’s action, there is a petition circulating on Change.org to award him the Congressional Medal of Honor. On Jan. 12, it had accrued approximately 11,000 electronic signatures.
