What is something new you would recommend people try to spice up their meals?
I would say add a vegan option for non-vegans. I try to reduce my meat consumption as much as possible. One of my go-to vegan appetizers is my sweet chili mumbo sauce cauliflower bites. They are so tasty and they leave room in your belly for dinner.
What are the trends you are noticing in your industry?
I’m noticing TikTok chefs are bursting out everywhere. I love the creativity and short cooking videos. Most of us have short attention spans so this is perfect to get people excited about food and cooking. I definitely can’t keep up, but it pushes me to be more creative and to think outside the box.
Which types of issues do you see impacting your industry?
One issue I see is the rising cost of food. The food industry, like many others, was hit hard during the pandemic. There are a lot of food sources that are still trying to recover and need the funding to do so. That cost trickles down to the chefs and as a result, we have to raise the cost for our customers.
