Minaj is accusing Hough of lying about the harassment on at least two separate occasions.
First, Minaj’s lawyers assert that Hough was being disingenuous when she said she had to change her phone number to block Minaj’s and Petty’s harassment. But Minaj produced an alleged note from Hough that reads “US Marshalls are asking questions!!!” This communication from Hough to Minaj proves, according to the rapper, that Hough was not afraid of her or Petty.
Secondly, Hough said on “The Real” that her brother was contacted and offered $500K if Hough would legally recount her story that Petty raped her in an abandoned building in Brooklyn while both were in high school. Minaj’s legal team says this account differs from her testimony where Hough stated on the show that Minaj was behind the operation. Minaj believes that Hough is simply on a campaign to come up financially at Minaj’s expense.
