‘Seven Days In June’: A week to fall in love and a week to find it again

Tia Williams delivers a realistic romance that begs the question: is a former love worth revisiting, especially when it caused so much pain? Over the years, Eva and Shane both experienced challenges while creating meaningful careers for themselves. Even without communication, with their history and possibilities of what could’ve been, the chemistry is still there — but so is the hurt and grief.

Williams showcases how childhood abandonment can take a toll on mental health. She also highlights the experience of living with an invisible disability. From a young age, Eva has dealt with excruciating migraines, sheltering her pain from outsiders, but it never prevents her from chasing her dreams or being there for others.

Told from alternating perspectives and glances of flashbacks over seven days, both present and past, Seven Days in June is a gripping yet steamy romantic read.

Tia Williams began her career as a beauty editor at YM, Glamour, Elle, Lucky, and Essence. Her award-winning novel, The Perfect Find, is being adapted into a Netflix film starring Gabrielle Union. Williams lives in New York with her daughter and husband.
