How do you hold corporate America accountable and why should young people hold corporate America accountable to them?
The American economy is based on a free enterprise system and it involves people’s ability to create businesses that exist to serve people, and also it exists to make a profit for those who own it. Black people, by [and] large, work in the private sector, [and] government sector as well. But you take some of the largest companies in the world, Walmart, AT&T, for example, they employ hundreds of thousands of African Americans.
Hundreds of thousands of African Americans have to hold corporate America and the government accountable on the principle of inclusion when it comes to racial justice. It is not an easy task. Just calling people out is important, but pushing also from the inside is important as well.
