Vincent Bohanan thinks the younger generation has a place in ministry

Who were the people you leaned on growing up?

Growing up, I went to the Institutional Church of God in Christ. The Institutional Radio Choir is known all across the country. They were my inspiration, and I had the opportunity to watch them every Sunday, every week, and it was a blessing. I always said I got to have my own choir just like this. So a lot of what we do today is just a spinoff of what they’ve already done. I really watched them heavily, but of course, James Hall, Hezekiah Walker, of the ’90s, they were just everything to us. The music, the moves, the outfits, hairdos, the robes, all of it was quite a sight to see. And they were all from Brooklyn, New York. So we had the opportunity to have Hezekiah Walker, James Hall and Timothy Wright all in the same city. We were very, very lucky.
