Comedian and former co-host of “The Real” Loni Love threw some serious shade at her former employer after her current TV gig celebrated her birthday.
“E! News” celebrated Love by giving her a birthday surprise replete with trumpet players and champagne at the end of the episode. Love, who now appears regularly on “E!’s Daily Pop“ show, began laughing and then crying at the surprise celebration that included a birthday wish from former co-star Tamera Mowry.
Later, Love went on Twitter to share the experience with her fans and take a swipe at “The Real” production staff.
I was on a show for 8 seasons and never got a birthday surprise .. I am humbled for this. Thank you to my @enews fam … https://t.co/SjoUCvDrgi

Even though Love, 51, did not mention “The Real” by name, it was obvious whom she was referring to. The talk show was canceled in June 2022 after eight seasons.
Fans, however, were not appreciative of the allegedly messy way that Love is handling her divorce from the defunct show that catapulted her to national fame. They also pointed out that “The Real” did, in fact, celebrate her birthday on the show one time. For Love, the caveat was that it was done in conjunction with Tamera Mowry-Housley’s birthday.
Love fired back, however, to dismiss that gesture by saying it was a “combo” and therefore didn’t count as a celebration of her day alone. Mowry-Housley’s and Love’s birthdays are not on the same day.
Fans took off after Love for the way she pettily threw stones at “The Real” on the way out the door.
