One of R. Kelly’s former girlfriends dropped a bombshell on pop culture when she claimed that she is pregnant with the disgraced singer’s baby. The convicted sexual predator, however, vehemently denies that he is the father.
In a preview of her upcoming tell-all memoir, Joycelyn Savage wrote that she is ecstatic that she is going to become a mother to the singer’s child and that Robert Sylvester Kelly is equally elated.
“Months later, I began expecting severe morning sickness and was unsure what was wrong with my body. I thought I had contracted COVID-19, but the most amazing news of all was that I was expecting,” Savage penned in the book, according to excerpts obtained by Complex magazine.
“It was a happy day but an incomplete time in my life. Today I am grateful to God for giving me the most precious gift. Robert is extremely excited about the news that I am having a baby and feels sad that Robert will not be able to be here with us.”
Savage, who also said she is engaged to the singer, discussed her acute disappointment that she was not allowed to share more of their lives together in her book due to Kelly’s upcoming state trial in Chicago. The “Bump N Grind” crooner has already been convicted in a federal court in New York on a plethora of charges related to sexual assault and racketeering. He is currently serving a 30-year sentence.
“Yes, Robert approved the book and his team has read it through. I wanted pictures of us at concerts, at his house, and lying down together. I told them I wanted exactly what happened,” she said. “However, there were moments I didn’t include in this book because I wanted to have a happy ending and story with Robert. I live in one of Robert’s condos and am working on my next book, which will reveal a lot about him that has been tampered by the media. Many secrets.”
Kelly is refuting Savage’s claim about being the father of her child through his attorney Jennifer Bonjean. She told TMZ that Savage’s words will not comprise a tell-all and that “people are just insane.”
