What key skills or qualities make you unique as an African American female leader?
The key skills and qualities that make me a unique African American female are my communication skills, networking skills, transparency, compassion, integrity and giving spirit.
If you could thank any Black woman for her contributions, who would it be and why?
My grandmothers Alicia Hamilton, Kathleen Hodge, and Lillian Branch, because of their faith in God and trust in the Lord for all their needs. They gave hope with the little they had.
Why should more experienced Black women reach back and help younger women of color?
It’s lending a hand, advice, coaching and support to make sure the younger women of color won’t go through the same trials and tribulations.
What is your greatest or proudest achievement?
My greatest and proudest achievement was opening my childcare center on the Eastside of Detroit in an at-risk community and retiring from Chrysler.
