Day 1 of RIDE Con 2024 emphasizes the future of AI in the Black community

Day 1 of rolling out’s RIDE Con 2024 was full of gems dropped to educate visionaries on the future of AI, which is transforming the way we look at technology today.

The day consisted of several trusted professionals who are at the forefront of the AI space. Rolling out CEO Munson Steed and social consultant Stephanie Smith started the day with opening statements about AI and how society is using it. John Pasmore and Chuck Faush spoke next about The Latimer Project. Google’s federal IT leader, Stephanie Cummings-Carr, followed up with a panel about how Google is implementing AI in its program.


AI Impact CEO Marlon Avery delivered an educational panel about the basics of AI and helped the audience and viewers understand AI’s potential impact on business and education.

Google strategist Jamie Coleman and technologist Arthur Bernier Jr. spoke about the future of AI and creativity, and VP of supply chain Guy Mills, director of innovation Shakira Murrain, and Technologists of Color executive director Jonathan Exume had a panel conversation about the digital frontier for career ascendancy and the role AI has on innovation for Black entrepreneurs


To finish the evening, podcast host and media personality Van Lathan finished the evening as the keynote speaker for RIDE Con, discussing the Black AI revolution for business and culture.
