Elijah Pierce is the main attraction in the OTX boxing lineup for the second consecutive year.
The Oklahoma native, now adopted by Atlanta, recently visited rolling out to discuss the upcoming season starting on March 29.
What are your thoughts heading into this OTX season?
Man, I’m really looking forward to it. Everything is unfolding as expected. I have a lot of love for OTX, and they’ve shown that love back. It’s all been reciprocated, and I’m grateful to be part of the team. Headlining once again is a great opportunity for me to show that I’m putting Georgia on the map.
What does fighting in front of your home crowd mean to you?
Honestly, it’s even more thrilling now after my last performance, where I scored a third-round knockout. Everyone is pumped up and anticipating another exciting match, and I’m definitely going to deliver.
What is the standard for you now at OTX?
My standard is to show up and show out. I’m here to put on a show; that’s what I do. I’m a natural entertainer, and I thrive being in the spotlight. Whether it’s fighting in front of a live audience or on TV, it’s an adrenaline rush. It motivates me to give my best every time. This will be my third fight in my current weight class, and I feel fully adjusted at this point. I’m prepared and ready to deliver another memorable performance on March 29.
What do you think of OTX establishing itself within Atlanta?
So far, they’re doing an excellent job.
They’ve already made a mark in basketball, and I believe they’re doing the same in boxing. With fighters like myself, I’m confident we can represent OTX well. There’s a great lineup of fighters on the card, and I think OTX has chosen wisely in assembling this roster.
