Chris Paul does not have the best relationship with some referees, and that probably not change however long he decides to play the game of basketball.

The veteran point guard was ejected in the Golden State Warriors game against the Indiana Pacers on Friday, March 22, with seconds remaining in the game. As the Pacers were running out the clock, referee Tony Brothers handed Paul his second technical of the game, which led to the ejection.

After the game, Paul was asked why he was given both techs from Brothers.

“Tony, he’s talking to me, I talk back,” Paul said. “I called him a TikToker, and I got a tech. I just said ‘TikToker,’ and he gave me a tech. The second one I just said ‘that’s too much power’ and he gave me another tech.”

Paul was then asked by a reporter what he meant when calling Brothers a TikToker, and Paul answered with a grin.

“He’s the judge, jury, and all that,” Paul said.

If people were wondering what Paul was referring to, he made sure not to leave any questions. After the game, he posted a video on his Instagram of Brothers doing an interview.

“I don’t even really care too much about basketball,” Brothers said in the video. “I’m the judge, the jury, prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, everybody.”

Brothers must not have liked the way that Paul was trying to make jokes, and he used his power to eject him from the game when the game was already decided.
